Articulated Vehicle Driving & Maintenance

Master the Road and the Machine! This programme is designed for individuals who want to become professional articulated vehicle drivers with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and transport safety. Students learn road regulations, defensive driving techniques, cargo handling procedures and the operational requirements of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Training includes practical driving exercises such as vehicle manoeuvring, reversing with trailers, coupling and uncoupling units, hill driving, parking, loading balance and emergency response procedures. Students also learn daily inspection routines, tyre checks, brake system monitoring, lubrication, battery maintenance and basic fault identification. Upon completion, trainees will possess the practical competence required for safe and efficient operation of articulated vehicles in logistics, construction, petroleum distribution and long-distance haulage. The programme also develops the maintenance awareness needed to reduce breakdowns, improve fuel efficiency and extend vehicle service life.
