About This Skill

This course, ideally called HVAC-R in the modern world will give front-row access to the basics of refrigeration with the view to fully harnessing all gains of the knowledge to be gained. It will be a rewarding time for those who would be priviledged to enrol in this course. The course will explain practically with fully hands-on training sessions, how residential refrigeration units work. It will illustrate and describe the function of the various components used in refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners. Successful students of this trade will find techniques for which even those already working in this field can substantially rely upon to increase their hands-on repairing knowledge and technique. The end result is for trainees to become fully engaged in the profession full time. Others may pursue it as a supplement to their incomes. At any rate, they all will find that as they begin to be conversant, their work will become more and more in demand and will really generate more business they ever thought possible.
Mandatory Skills Qualification (MSQ): completing this skill alongside your ND/HND earns you a National Skills Qualification (NSQ) certificate, per NBTE requirements for all polytechnic graduates. Choose it as a vertical skill if it matches your core course of study, or horizontal if it's in a different field entirely.
