This programme equips students with practical skills for producing nutritious fruit juices using hygienic processing methods and modern food preservation techniques. Trainees learn fruit selection, processing principles and quality control procedures. Practical sessions involve fruit washing, sorting, extraction, filtration, pasteurisation, bottling, packaging, labelling and storage. Students also learn food safety standards, shelf-life improvement, product branding and small-scale production management. At the end of the training, graduates will be able to produce safe, attractive and commercially viable fruit juice products. The programme supports entrepreneurship and value addition within the agricultural and food processing industries.
Mandatory Skills Qualification (MSQ): completing this skill alongside your ND/HND earns you a National Skills Qualification (NSQ) certificate, per NBTE requirements for all polytechnic graduates. Choose it as a vertical skill if it matches your core course of study, or horizontal if it's in a different field entirely.
