Biogas Technology

About This Skill

Convert Waste into Clean Energy and Valuable Fertiliser! This programme teaches students how organic waste from farms, homes and agro-industrial activities can be transformed into usable biogas for cooking, heating and electricity generation. Trainees learn the principles of anaerobic digestion, gas production and renewable energy systems. Students participate in practical activities such as constructing small biogas digesters, preparing feedstock mixtures, monitoring digestion conditions, connecting gas piping systems, testing gas output and handling slurry by-products for agricultural use. Emphasis is placed on safety, system maintenance and efficient waste management. Graduates will be able to design and operate small-scale biogas systems, maintain digesters, troubleshoot common operational problems and promote sustainable energy solutions for households, farms and rural communities. The programme combines environmental protection with practical renewable energy skills.
