Farm Irrigation System

About This Skill

Grow More with Smart Water Management! This programme equips students with practical knowledge of irrigation systems used to improve agricultural productivity throughout the year. Trainees learn the principles of water management, soil moisture conservation and efficient crop irrigation. Students participate in practical exercises involving the installation, operation and maintenance of drip, sprinkler and surface irrigation systems. They also learn pump selection, pipeline installation, water storage, scheduling irrigation and identifying faults that reduce system performance. Upon completion, graduates will be able to design and maintain small- and medium-scale irrigation systems that improve crop yields while conserving water resources. The programme prepares participants for careers in modern agriculture, agribusiness and irrigation system installation.
