About This Skill

Build the Structures That Shape the World! This programme provides comprehensive practical training in metal fabrication and welding processes used across construction, manufacturing and engineering industries. Students learn the properties of metals, engineering drawings and safe workshop practices. Practical sessions include arc welding, gas welding, MIG and TIG welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, metal fabrication, structural assembly and equipment maintenance. Trainees also develop skills in measuring, marking out, interpreting fabrication drawings and inspecting weld quality. By the end of the programme, participants will be capable of fabricating and repairing metal structures, gates, tanks, frames, machinery components and other engineering products to professional standards. The programme prepares graduates for rewarding careers in fabrication workshops, construction companies and industrial manufacturing, as well as successful self-employment.
