Create Elegant Ceilings with Professional Finishing! This programme equips students with practical skills in the installation of modern suspended ceilings and decorative Plaster of Paris (POP) finishes. Trainees learn ceiling design concepts, measurement techniques and safe installation procedures. Students participate in hands-on activities such as framework installation, POP mixing and application, ceiling board installation, decorative moulding, cornice fitting, finishing and painting preparation. They also learn material estimation, repair techniques and project planning for residential and commercial buildings. Upon completion, participants will be able to construct attractive and durable ceiling systems that enhance the appearance and functionality of interior spaces. The programme prepares graduates for employment in building finishing or self-employment as ceiling installation specialists.
Mandatory Skills Qualification (MSQ): completing this skill alongside your ND/HND earns you a National Skills Qualification (NSQ) certificate, per NBTE requirements for all polytechnic graduates. Choose it as a vertical skill if it matches your core course of study, or horizontal if it's in a different field entirely.
